We partnered closely with the UFC and Developer, Monks, to conceptualize a world that adhered to UFC’s brand standards while also providing users with an engaging and dynamic experience leaving them wanting more.
From the onset of this project, the UFC was explicit that this world should not incentivize fighting, an interesting challenge for a combat-sports themed world - a factor that often reared its head in the creative inception process. This perceived limitation, however, provided the steers that eventually brought us to the current world theme: an elite UFCtraining facility. Here, players can train and set out on a user-journey to level up from Amateur all the way to a World Champion by scoring points across a variety of MMA-themed mini-games, earning UFC-branded avatar upgrades along the way with each new achievement. Players can “weigh in” to see how many points they have and how many are needed to rise in the ranks and earn points to collect avatar rewards.
As Producer / Creative Producer, I provided creative feedback on game interaction and world design. I also informed avatar rewards designs and conceptualized game concepts that made it to the final build.
